CheckBefore helps identify supported document and image sharing risks. It does not guarantee that a file is completely safe, secure, or free of sensitive information.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing files and deciding whether they are appropriate to share. Items marked Review Required have not been safely removed automatically. Keep and review your original file before sharing a cleaned copy.

Supported cleanup

Cleaning creates a separate copy and only removes the supported items shown in the confirmation. Some changes can affect how a document behaves; review the new copy before you send it.

Lifetime Pro purchase

Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It includes the supported paid features shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase, including unlimited checks, supported deeper cleanup, and the stated signed-in purchase-recovery workflow. Paddle processes the transaction. Refunds and payment disputes can affect access; see our Refund policy.

Service availability and limits

The service is provided as available. Coverage may change as supported scanners evolve. Do not use CheckBefore as the only control for legal, regulatory, security, or compliance obligations.

Liability and disputes

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CheckBefore is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms are governed by applicable law, and disputes will be handled by the competent courts or dispute-resolution bodies required by applicable law.

Updates

These terms are effective September 8, 2026. We may update them when the service or legal obligations change. The version in effect when you use the service or complete a purchase applies, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
